¡Hola! My name is Clyde Shafer III and I am honored to serve as the Spanish teacher at the Senior Academy at East Wake Academy! Here is a little bit about myself:
I grew up in the town of Wilson, NC. I graduated from Beddingfield High School in 2012 where I started taking Spanish courses as a part of the IB curriculum. After making it to Spanish V, I decided to try to major in Spanish in college.
I attended NC State University and majored in Spanish Languages and Lits with a concentration in K-12 Education. I also was a part of the National Foreign Language Honor Society, Vice President of St. Jude Up 'til Dawn and a 3 year member, and received a certification in Global Perspectivies. I also had the opportunity to study abroad in Peru, where I was honored to be a Gilman International Scholar. I continued my path as a Spanish teacher at Knightdale High School where I taught Spanish II. I am honored to be a part of the East Wake Academy team this year and am looking forward to working with your child this year!
